A Calculator is a SPECIAL PURPOSE COMPUTER.
A computer designed from scratch to perform a specific function ( which in the case of the calculator is " to perform the basic operations of arithmetic" ) .... Can you think of any other SPECIAL PURPOSE COMPUTERS ? A GPS is one ( Global Positioning System)
